Inflation Continues to Trend Downward

Jamaica’s inflation rate continues to trend downward, reaching a 50-year low of three per cent at the end of the March 2016 quarter. Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) Governor, Brian Wynter, says the figure is the lowest since financial year 1966/67.

Wynter urges bondholders to use 2016 windfall productively

KINGSTON, Jamaica,  November 19, 2015 - The Government of Jamaica is getting ready to  payout $62 billion of maturing NDX bonds to bondholders in February 2016, and Governor of the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) Brian Wynter wants the recipients to use their cash in ways which will benefit the capital markets and the economy.
