CARICOM | Carib States meet UN Human Rights Council President in Guyana

GENEVA/GEORGETOWN, November 17, 2018 – On Monday November 19 and Tuesday 20 November, government representatives from across the Caribbean region, together with the President of the Human Rights Council, Vojislav Šuc of Slovenia, will gather in Georgetown, Guyana, at the Pegasus Hotel, to participate in an unprecedented meeting to discuss ways to maximize their engagement with the Geneva-based Council, the United Nations’ body responding to all human rights situations across the globe.

The coming OECD blacklist

Reports are wrong in stating that eight Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries are on a ‘blacklist’ recently released by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) over citizenship by investment (CBI) and resident by investment (RBI) schemes that they operate.
