CARICOM | CDB Projects 2% Regional growthy in 2019

BRIDGETOWN,  Barbados, February 8, 2019 - Although grappling with challenges related to climate change; wide fiscal deficits and high public debt; as well as high unemployment, the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) has projected that the Region’s economy is expected to grow by 2% in 2019.

JAMAICA | No New Taxes to Fund 2018/19 Budget

KINGSTON,  March 8, 2018 - Finance Minister Audley Shaw, on Thursday announced that the Government will not be introducing new taxes to fund the 2018/19 Budget, amounting to approximately $773.6 billion.
