There is a special treat in store for Jamaica and Jamaican show goers with the news that American soul legend Gerald Alston – lead singer and voice of the Manhattans – will grace Jamaica’s shores for a one-night-only, command performance in July 2017.

Alston, who has had numerous hits both as a solo act and dynamic frontman of the electrifying Manhattans, has vowed to delight his loyal Jamaican following – especially the ladies - by performing all the hits he and the Manhattans are famous for, in tribute to his beloved and belated singing partner Winfred “Blue” Lovett who passed away in December 2015, after recording and performing together for over 45 hit-filled years with the group.

Alston is promising that the popular group sound remains, as his backing vocalists for this performance in Jamaica will be Troy May and David Harvey, the two remaining members of the Manhattans.

“I want all my fans in Jamaica to come and join me when I appear there in July with Troy, David and my band, and we promise them the concert of a lifetime, as we will be doing all the hits they have come to know and love me and my group the Manhattans for ..... there will be something for everyone” he declared.

Fans can expect to hear Alston’s greatest solo hits including “Slow Motion”, Take Me Where You Want To”, “Send For Me”, “Stay The Night”, Tell Me This Night Won’t End”, “Hell Of A Situation” and “I Appreciate Your Love”, plus the greatest hits he led with the Manhattans such as “Kiss and Say Goodbye”, “Shining Star”, “There’s No Me Without You”, “I Kinda Miss You”, “I Just Want To Be The One In Your Life”, “We Never Dance To A Love Song”, “Nights Like This”, “Hurt”, “Don’t Take Your Love From Me”, “Forever By Your Side”, “Wish That You Were Mine” and “It Feels So Good To Be Loved So Bad” among others.

The Gerald Alston concert is endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and the Jamaica Observer, and sponsors to date include Audi, Kool 97FM, Christar Villas Hotel, Colbeck Ginger Wine, Singer, Independence Park Ltd., Chung’s Catering Service, True Tone, Irie FM, Shields & Shields, Mello FM, Devon Bourne’s Rubis, Pure National Ice, A & E Ambulance Service, Interlinc Communications, Touchstone Ticketing, Kingston Hireage, Securipro, and Knutsford Express who will provide shuttle service for Gerald Alston fans from all across Jamaica.
