Can Jamaica be trusted in matters of international relations?

KINGSTON, April 18, 2019 - Despite double-speak, denials and obfuscation by the country’s foreign affairs and foreign trade minister Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith, Jamaica’s support for the self-proclaimed ‘interim president’ of Venezuela Juan Guido’s designated appointee Gustavo Tarre as its permanent representative to the Organization of American States (OAS), severely undermines the credibility of the leadership of the Andrew Holness led administration and our country’s reputation in the eyes of the world.

KINGSTON, Jamaica, March 21, 2019: The young professional arm of the People’s National Party – The Patriots – is calling for the immediate resignation of the President of the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU), Mr Fitz Pinnock for his failure to prevent the institution from being used in an apparent quid pro quo arrangement to facilitate the employment of politically connected persons in a scheme for the personal and political benefit of former Education Minister Ruel Reid.
