GUYANA Marks 48th Republic anniversary with Defence Force on high alert

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, February 23, 2018 - On the eve of Guyana’s 48th Republic anniversary, President David Granger Thursday night placed the South American nation nation on high alert with talks of heightened border security and the need to seek international aid for the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) to execute a number of tasks including territorial protection.
