CARIFESTA XIV to be launched in Trinidad and Tobago Tuesday

(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana)    CARIFESTA XIV will be launched at the Hilton Conference Centre in Trinidad and Tobago on Tuesday, 23 October, 2018. Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley, Minister of Community Development, Culture and the Arts,  Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. the Honourable Nyan Gadsby Dolly, and Programme Manager for Culture and Community Development at theCARICOM Secretariat, Dr. Hilary Brown, are expected to speak at the launch.

PM wants Constructive Engagement to Advance Relations with Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, December 8, 2014 - Jamaica's Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller has called for greater dialogue and constructive engagement in the effort to secure progress and prosperity for the people of Jamaica, Cuba and the rest of the Caribbean. She said Jamaica and Cuba shared a rich history and that Jamaica will continue to stand steadfast with Cuba in the struggle to attain peace, progress and sustainable development in that country, in Jamaica and in the entire Caribbean region.
