JAMAICA | Phillips joins the fight against mining in the Cockpit Country

ALBERT TOWN, Trelawny, September 17, 2019 - Jamaica's Cockpit Country Coalition, which features environmentalists, residents, small business groups, Maroons, and members of the Rastafarian community, on Tuesday staged an anti-bauxite mining protest in front of  Gordon House, Jamaica's parliament, in an effort to convince the Government to reverse its position of allowing mining outside the so-called protected area of the Cockpit Country.
