Jamaica Investment Forum 2015 set for March in MoBay

KINGSTON, January 24, 2015- Jamaica will again take centre stage as the preferred investment destination in the Caribbean, when approximately 150 local and overseas investors are expected to converge in the second city of Montego Bay in March, for second staging of the island's major investment event: Jamaica Investment Forum (JIF) 2015.

Jamaica to improve world business ranking

MONTEGO BAY January 9, 2015 - Despite continued lament by the Jamaica’s Private Sector Organization that government is still standing in the way of business, the country can expect further improvements in its international business ranking this year, as result of continued moves by the Government to boost the business and investment climates.

House repeals Bankruptcy Act

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, Oct. 8, 2014 - The long awaited Insolvency Bill, to repealing the bankruptcy Act and to creating new provisions to govern the regulation of bankruptcy and insolvency in Jamaica, was yesterday passed  by the House of Representatives and goes to the Senate on Friday.
