JAMAICA | US pilot to appear in court on ammunition charges

KINGSTON, Jamaica, Jul. 3, CMC – A pilot from the United States is scheduled to appear in court later this month to answer to charges related to the possession of ammunition.

The police report that Michael Gorham, 54, from the state of Georgia, was arrested and charged on Sunday for attempting to take ammunition onboard a flight at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

The Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force says one 9mm Lugar round of ammunition was found in Gorham’s luggage during security checks about 8:45 a.m. (local time) at the airport.

He is schedule to appear in a Corporate Area court on July 14.
