Caribbean Elections in the Age of Cambridge Analytica: External Interference – Antigua and Barbuda

The March 13th 2018 Grenada general election was followed (a week later) by Antigua and Barbuda’s on March 21. Devastated by two hurricanes in 2017 and with the entire population of the smaller ward island of Barbuda being forcibly moved to the mainland, Antigua and Barbuda has been busy rebuilding, with much solidarity from its Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and other Caribbean neighbors, including Cuba and Venezuela.

(ANTIGUA OBSERVER) – Commissioner of Police Wendel Robinson cleared out his office yesterday afternoon soon after receiving his letter of suspension and notice of an investigation into allegations that he made sexual advances towards three junior ranking policemen.It is further alleged that he then victimised the officers after they rejected his advances.

ANTIGUA | Prime Minister Browne 'Promising Landslide Victory' for Labour Party in Election

Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne is promising a landslide victory, similar to Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell's achievement in Grenada, in the country's upcoming general election on Mar. 21. "I am quite sure the results here in Antigua and Barbuda will be just as exciting, as we say 17 none,” Browne said as he extended “congratulations to my dear friend and brother.”
