JAMAICA | New Rules for Boards of Public Bodies

KINGSTON, June 8, 2018 - New rules have been developed to guide the operations of public boards, including the retention of at least one third of the previous Board of Directors to ensure continuity in governance. This is the word from Minister of Finance and the Public Service, Dr Nigel Clarke as he Addressed the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce yesterday.

Jamaica to develop policy for natural disaster risk management

Kingston, Jamaica: 29 April 2018 - Prior to the end of the Precautionary Stand-By Arrangement with the IMF Jamaica will develop, with the technical assistance of multilateral partners, a Public Financial Management Policy for Natural Disaster Risk combined with a ten-year operational plan for its implementation that takes into account fiscal space and other limitations.

KINGSTON, Jamaica (JIS) April 12, 2012  — Finance and the Public Service Minister, Dr Nigel Clarke, says Jamaica must be disciplined in the management of its economic affairs in order to ensure that there will be no need to return to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), once the current programme relationship ends.
