GUYANA | Opposition inists PM vacates Assembly while acting as president

GEORGETOWN, December 10, 2018 - Guyana's Opposition People’s Progressive Party (PPP), in its effort to derail the coalition government while President David Granger is away in Cuba for cancer treatment, is insisting that Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo vacates his seat in the National Assembly while performing presidential duties.

GUYANA | ExxonMobil makes 10th oil discovery offshore Guyana

Georgetown, Guyana – December 3, 2018 - There is yet another oil find off the coast of Guyana. Director, in the Department of Energy, Dr. Mark Bynoe this morning announced that ExxonMobil has made its 10th discovery offshore Guyana at the Pluma-1 well. This latest discovery has increased the estimated recoverable resource for the Stabroek Block to more than 5 billion oil-equivalent barrels.
