Jamaicans Urged to Conserve water as dry season approaches

As the country enters yet another dry period, citizens are being urged to begin implementing conservation strategies. Although the two reservoirs in St. Andrew (Mona and Hermitage) are at capacity, the National Water Commission (NWC) has begun instituting restrictions at nights, as a conservation strategy.

$1.6 Billion Boost for Martha Brae Water Systems in Trelawny

Water supplied to residents served by the National Water Commission’s (NWC) facilities at Martha Brae, Trelawny, will be significantly boosted to 11 million gallons per day, following the completion of two major projects, valued approximately J$1.6 billion, at that location.
