Brasilia, May 29 (Prensa Latina) The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) could strike a blow to the aspirations of the favorite candidate for the presidential elections of October, the political prisoner Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the Brazilian digital newspaper 247 warned today.

UN Accepts Petition Stating Brazil Judge Violated Lula's Rights

The United Nations has accepted a petition from lawyers of former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, claiming that the judge overseeing the Petrobras corruption case had violated Lula da Silva’s rights by charging him with the same allegations several times and detaining him arbitrarily without any evidence.
