JAMAICA | Phillips joins the fight against mining in the Cockpit Country

ALBERT TOWN, Trelawny, September 16, 2019 - Jamaica's Cockpit Country Coalition, which features environmentalists, residents, small business groups, Maroons, and members of the Rastafarian community, are slated to stage an anti-bauxite mining protest in front of  Gordon House, Jamaica's parliament  on  Tuesday September 17, in an effort to convincing the Government to reverse its position of allowing mining outside the so-called protected area of the Cockpit Country.
