Fadil recalled in a press conference that her previous visit to Libya, which took place after a video showing African citizens being sold at a slave auction, resulted in the return of more than eight thousand immigrants to their respective countries, including 129 Sudanese.
According to some media, political activists have urged the Sudanese government to intervene and protect their compatriots, after the appearance of these new videos that show citizens of that nation being beaten and mistreated in different parts of Libya.
Activists circulated the video on social networks during the last two days, although none of them provide details of the parties involved in the torture or its causes.
In September 2017, Sudan received 168 young people deported by the Libyan authorities for 'illegal immigration and violation of residence laws'.
