CASTRIES, St. Lucia, July 4, 2019 -  Resilience and sustainable development were at the heart of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General (SG), António Guterres’ address to the 40th Regular Meeting of Caribbean Community Heads of Government, which opened in Saint Lucia yesterday. Climate-related disasters and their impacts on families; murder rates; violence among women and girls; and concessional development financing were among the issues raised by the UNSG.

CARICOM reaffirms great value of relations with Cuba

CARICOM | Cuba reinforces its ties with the Caribbean

Kingston, Jamaica, 12 June 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, will today participate in the Sixth Meeting of CARICOM-Cuba Foreign Ministers to be held in Guyana, following his one week tour of several sister nations of the Caribbean. The tour began on Tuesday and will last until June 18, taking him to Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Guyana and Barbados.
