CARICOM reaffirms great value of relations with Cuba

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, June 14, 2019 - Even as the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) on Friday reaffirmed the great value it attaches to ties with Cuba, it reiterated its call for an immediate and unconditional end to the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States on Cuba.

CARICOM | Cuba reinforces its ties with the Caribbean

Kingston, Jamaica, 12 June 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, will today participate in the Sixth Meeting of CARICOM-Cuba Foreign Ministers to be held in Guyana, following his one week tour of several sister nations of the Caribbean. The tour began on Tuesday and will last until June 18, taking him to Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Guyana and Barbados.

CARICOM | List of Countries Targeted for Reparations Expanded

WASHINGTON, United States May 27, 2019 — The chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), and Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris, says one the biggest economic and financial challenges facing CARICOM countries "pertains to the practice by large global commercial banks to terminate their correspondent banking services or to offer these services at unconscionably high rates."
