GUYANA | President Granger in Cuba for second round of treatment

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – December 4, 2018 -  Guyana's President David Granger, is now in the Republic of Cuba, where he will undergo a second round of treatment for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, a type of cancer with which he was diagnosed earlier this year, at the Centro de Investigaciones Médico Quirúrgicas (CIMEQ).

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, November 21, 2018 - President David Granger, having returned last night from a three week medical visit to Cuba where he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, today expressed gratitude to his Cabinet members, staff and the rest of the nation for their support, prayers and well wishes for his complete recovery, at a welcome home and prayer ceremony hosted, this morning, at State House.

GUYANA | President Granger cleared to return home on Tuesday

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, November 19, 2018 - Having received his first round of chemotherapy from his doctors in Cuba for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, President David Granger has been given permission by his doctors to travel, and  is scheduled to return to Guyana tomorrow. It is expected that he may have to return to Cuba for further treatment.

JAMAICA calls on the United States to lift the Cuban Embargo

KINGSTON,  October 31m 2018 - Jamaica's parliamentarians, in a rare display of parliamentary unity, yesterday passed yet another resolution demanded that the United States of America end its nearly six decades of economic blockade against the government and people of the Republic of Cuba.
