CARICOM | LaRocque laments dangers of Plastic pollution in the Caribbean

GEORGETOWN, JUNE 8, 2018 - CARICOM Secretary General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, has expressed concern at the data which shows that five trillion plastic bags are used each year and one million plastic bottles are bought each minute, giving pause to the CARICOM Region to focus on our ocean resources and the reality of plastic pollution in the Caribbean Sea.

Participants want a review of PANCAP's Justice For All Roadmap

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 18, 2018 - The Pan-Caribbean Partnership against HIV and AIDS (PANCAP), the mechanism that provides a structured and unified approach to the Caribbean’s response to the HIV epidemic, concluded the Joint Regional Dialogue with Faith Leaders, Parliamentarians, Civil Society Leaders, National AIDS Programme (NAP) Managers and Youth Leaders in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, with an urgent call from stakeholders for creating an enabling environment to reduce discrimination which acts as a barrier for vulnerable groups accessing health services and hinders efforts to reduce HIV infections.
