Venezuela suspends oil delivery to some Caribbean countries

Platts Oilgram News Market Report says  Venezuela’s PDVSA  is suspending petroleum deliveries to about half of the Caribbean countries in its Petrocaribe agreement due to fall in crude production and the effects of the United States sanctions on that country's economy.

Jamaicans netted in U.S. ICE sting operation

NEW YORY, NY, June 14, 2018 - Three Jamaicans were among 91 foreign nationals arrested by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency during a five-day operation in New Jersey that targeted “at-large criminal aliens, illegal re-entrants and other immigration violators” — the organisation said in a press release.

Jamaica in failed US backed bid to kick Venezuela from the OAS

WASHINGTON DC - Jamaica was among six Caribbean countries that included St. Lucia, Guyana, Barbados, Dominican Republic and the Bahamas, which were on the losing side of a US sponsored OAS resolution to expel  The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela from the Organization of American States (OAS), during the just concluded 48th General Assembly.
