Trinidad hosts CARICOM Meeting on Ebola, Chik V

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica Tuesday Nov. 4, 2014 -  Heads of Government of  the  Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will convene a special meeting in Trinidad today to discuss the Ebola virus, and the chikungunya disease, a mostly non-fatal but debilitating illness that is at this time striking down communities in the Caribbean.

Opposition signals Cooperation For ChikV Action and Ebola Plans

KINGSTON, Jamaica Oct. 15, 2014 - The Parliamentary Opposition has signalled its full cooperation for the actions being taken by the Government to contain and reduce the spread of the Chikungunya virus, and plans being put in place to prevent the introduction of the Ebola virus in Jamaica, as well as measures to deal with any possible Ebola case in the country.
