JAMAICA | Unclaimed Funds as Financing Option for MSMEs

KINGSTON,  April 20, 2018 - The Government is to engage technical consultants to assess the feasibility of utilising unclaimed funds, held by financial institutions, as a critical financing option for the growth and development of the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector.

JAMAICA | Gov't amends proposal for 4-year negotiating cycle

KINGSTON, March 15, 2016 - Finance Minister Audley Shaw  re-tabled the Financial Administration and Audit Act (Compensation Negotiating Cycles) Order 2018 in the House of Representatives yesterday after withdrawing it to make an amendment in relation to the four year negotiating cycle for which the administration has been severely criticized by the Opposition and union based stakeholders.
