CARICOM | Foreign Ministers Object to EU Financial Blacklisting

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica May 12, 2020 - While Guyana has been delisted from the European Commission’s money laundering list, joining countries like Ethiopia, Sri Lanka and Tunisia, the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR), has rejected the arbitrary and unilateral imposition of blacklisting by the EU on several Member States of the Community.

CARICOM | Cuba reinforces its ties with the Caribbean

Kingston, Jamaica, 12 June 2019. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, will today participate in the Sixth Meeting of CARICOM-Cuba Foreign Ministers to be held in Guyana, following his one week tour of several sister nations of the Caribbean. The tour began on Tuesday and will last until June 18, taking him to Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Lucia, Guyana and Barbados.

CARICOM meeting with Juan Guaidó in B'dos said to be positive

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, March 24, 2019 - Caribbean Community Foreign Ministers on Friday met with a delegation from Venezuela's Opposition Juan Guaido in Bridgetown, Barbados, in an effort to facilitate “peaceful resolution” to the political and economic crisis in the South American country.

CARICOM foreign ministers to meet in Japan

KINGSTON Jamaica  — Caribbean Community (CARICOM) foreign ministers including Jamaica’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade AJ Nicholson will meet with their Japanese counterpart on Friday for talks aimed at strengthening the relations between the 15-member regional grouping and Japan.
