- The following is the communiqué issued at the conclusion of the Forty-Second Regular Meeting of The Conference of Heads of Government of The Caribbean Community (CARICOM), held by way of video-conference from the 5-6 July 2021.
CARICOM, Georgetown, Guyana, July 6, 2021 - As the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) continues to confront challenges on several fronts, Chairman, Prime Minister Gaston Browne, is lauding the establishment of several institutions which are at the forefront of the Region’s responses.
GEORGETOWN, Guyana, July 5, 2021 - As CARICOM Heads of Government hold their annual meeting this week to review the state of the Caribbean Community, Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque says the Region needs to design a post-pandemic recovery programme that will not only revive economies, but enhance resilience as well.
MONTEGO BAY, July 4, 2021 - Having assumed office on July 1 as the new Chairman of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community, CARICOM, Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister, Gaston Browne will chair the 42nd Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government which begins tomorrow and will be held via teleconference. The meeting is scheduled to run from Monday, July 5 to Tuesday, July 6.
GEORGETOWN, Guyana, May 22, 2022 - Guyana's President Irfaan Ali and the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which provides for economic cooperation in eight areas to include tourism, financial services, agriculture, energy and air transportation.
