CARICOM | LIAT to be replaced by six airlines serving the Region

CARICOM,  July 4, 2020 - With the collapse of the ailing Regional airline, LIAT (1974) Ltd., despite herculean efforts by Antigua and Barbuda’s PM, Gaston Browne to save the carrier, six privately owned air carriers are being considered to take over LIAT’s travel routes, in wake of the carrier’s current financial challenge.

CARICOM | Gonsalves defends Mottley's position on Guyana

CARICOM | Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is the New Chairman of CARICOM

CARICOM,  Frtiday July 3, 2020 -  Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, on Friday morning officially took up the Chairmanship of CARICOM, pledging to work to ensure a more sufficient air transport system to serve the sub-region.

THE GUYANA CHRONICLE, EDITORIAL, June 29, 2020- THE recent utterances on Guyana’s elections and, by extension, its internal affairs by Barbadian Prime Minister, Mia Mottley, and Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves of St. Vincent and the Grenadines are a cause for concern not only in Guyana, but in the rest of the CARICOM sub-region. Ms. Mottley’s video statement on Wednesday went to places that Gonsalves did not go. She arrogated unto herself the role of judge and jury in Guyana’s elections impasse. But more than that, she spoke as if the Guyanese people have elected her as their spokesperson and governor.
