CARICOM | Heads of government start busy week for CARICOM

CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown, Guyana - Thursday, 14 January 2021  -  Heads of Government set the stage for an active start to 2021 for the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) when on Tuesday they continued their discussions towards initiating the economic recovery of the Region which has been devastated by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

CARICOM Private Sector Organization and the Caribbean Community Sign MOU

GEORGETOWN, Turkeyen, Guyana, Friday, 4 December 2020  -  The CARICOM Private Sector Organization (CPSO) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which establishes the legal framework for cooperation and collaboration between the Private Sector and the Community, as mandated by the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community. Mr. Gervase Warner, CPSO Chairman, and President and CEO of the MASSY Group, and Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, Secretary-General, CARICOM signed the MOU.

CARICOM | COTED endorses Made in CARICOM initiative

GUYANA | CARICOM Recount Team to undergo PCR COVID-19 test prior to arrival in Guyana

April 21, 2020.  GEORGETOWN – Chairman of the National Coronavirus Task Force (NCTF), Prime Minister. Moses Nagamootoo has indicated to the Chair of the Guyana Elections Commission that consequent to an intervention by President David Granger, the task force has reviewed its previous decision in relation to the medical protocols for the CARICOM delegation.

GUYANA | Recount to begin when CARICOM team arrives says Singh

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 20, 2020 - The Chairman of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), Claudette Singh says the start-date for the long awaited recount in the March 2 general elections will depend on a decision by the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Irwin LaRocque as to the arrival date for the CARICOM Recount team.

CARICOM | Region's Trade Ministers urged to Expedite CSME Implementation

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 29, 2019 - CARICOM Secretary General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, has urged the Region's trade ministers to expedite the work of the Council for Trade and Economic Development, COTED, in order to further the development of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME)  within the time frame set by Heads of Government.
