JAMAICA | Holness pulls out of CARICOM's Barbados Meeting

KINGSTON, February 18, 2020 – Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness, will be a ‘no-show’ at the annual two-day Inter-Sessional meeting of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) now taking place in Barbados under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley at  the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

BARBADOS | Central Bank Announces Further Ease Of Exchange Controls

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Febrtuary 17, 2020 - The Central Bank of Barbados has with effect from today, a new policy, which will impact several types of foreign currency transactions, which will further liberalise foreign currency transactions, continuing the movement toward more relaxed exchange controls that it began in 2019.

BARBADOS | Government Lab To Test For Novel Coronavirus

BRIDGETOWN,  Barbados, February 12, 2020 - Barbados will soon have the capacity to do its own testing for the novel coronavirus at the Best-dos Santos Laboratory at Enmore. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is providing the testing kits and the technical services of a virologist.

Guyana, Trinidad, Jamaica and Barbados on Alert for Coronavirus

BARBADOS | Barbados Passes Latest IMF Test
