CARICOM Leaders To Discuss Reduced Travel Taxes

CARICOM July 7, 2021 -  LEADERS within the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) are expected to meet next week and consider short-term proposals for the reduction of intra-regional travel taxes which would result in cheaper airline tickets and the restart of tourism in a travel bubble, according to Chairman of CARICOM, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne.

GUYANA | Use ‘oil money’ to provide income tax relief, increased pensions, improved infrastructure

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, January 14, 2022 - Demerara Waves- The opposition People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) on Friday recommended that government considers a raft of measures, including lower income tax, fatter pay packets and increased pensions in the 2022 national budget to cushion the impact of the 20-percent increase in the cost of basic items.
