ECCB | Eastern Caribbean Central Bank's DCash digital currency goes live

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) has launched a regional central bank digital currency in partnership with Caribbean fintech outfit Bitt. The ECCB, the main financial institution of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union, recently launched DCash, the digital version of the Eastern Caribbean dollar — the official currency of the eight countries in the union.

BRIDGETOWN,  Barbados, November 4, 2021 -  The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) today proposed its Recovery Duration Adjuster (RDA), a vulnerability and resilience framework, which better reflects the economic, social, and environmental conditions of small island developing states at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) now underway  in the United Kingdom.
