Many of his guests are from Jamaica, while others reside in Europe, working the circuit, promoting Jamaican music and being ambassadors of Reggae and Dancehall music.

Who is Roughhouse? Keith ‘Roughhouse’ Powell Jnr hails from a little village just outside of Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica named Bath, right beside the district of Timbuktu. Yes, there is indeed a Timbuktu near Bath district in Manchester, and interestingly, that where Roughhouse hails from.
He was born into the music, as his father, Keith Powell Snr played guitar for reggae legend Dennis Brown and with ‘Lloyd Parks & We the People’ band, and Bunny Wailer among others.
He was taught by his father to play the bass guitar, and having mastered the art of the bass, he moved on to learn percussion and the guitar as well as other aspects of the music business including acoustic engineering.
In 2000 Roughhouse left JAMAICA for Germany on a vacation and met Sierra Leone/German singer-songwriter, Patrice, who recognized his talents and soon offered him a contract.
He Settled in the city of Dortmund, and through the collaboration with Patrice, Roughhouse began working with other musicians, forming and leading the bands ‘Rhaatid’ and ‘Tsunami’ ‘KP Crew’ and ‘Shashamane’ Band, producing music with other recording artistes from Germany like D-Flame, Uwe Banton, Nosliw, and Sami Deluxe among others.
Roughhouse provided musical support for touring Jamaican Acts in Europe such as Tarus Riley, Junior Kelly, Ken Boothe, and President Brown.
As the musical director touring with Jamaican artiste Andru Donalds, Roughhouse was afforded the experience of performing at famous music festivals like Summer Jam; Chiemsee Reggae; Splash Hip-Hop-Festival; Rock am Ring; Rock Am Park and many more famous events in Europe and Russia.
The podcast gives you samples from his many albums including: Peace and Inspiration, My Intention, Love Divine and Take a look, Never Wanna Stay and Rasta Man.
Already he has already interviewed Anthony Locks and Klang Poet and on Thursday he will be having a fireside reasoning with Ewe Banton.
