Jamaica’s COVID-19 Cases Increase To 143

KINNGSTON, April 16, 2020 - Jamaica now has 143 confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) cases. This is ther word from Minister of Health and Wellness, Dr. Christopher Tufton, as he gave an update on Thursday during a virtual press conference from his New Kingston offices.

JAMAICA | Gov't Snubs Cuban drug used for COVID19, US Blocks Ja Test Kits

KINGSTON, April 16, 2020- As the COVID-19 virus begins to spread within the Jamaican community, Health Minister Christopher Tufton has adbvised parliament, that  the Jamaican Government will not be using the Cuban antiviral drug Interferon Alpha 2B to treat persons battling COVID-19, on the advice of the island's Chief Medical Officer who informed the drug was not globally used.
