MIDDLE EAST | Israel: Arab Parties Emerge as Key Brokers in Forming New Gov't

The Arab Joint List, an alliance of Palestinian-Israeli parties, met Sunday to discuss whom to recommend as the country's new prime minister of Israel to be in charge of forming the government. They said Benny Gantz of the Blue and White party has to meet their demands if he wants their support.

Palestinians Slam US Ambassador to Israel's Annexation Remarks

Reacting to comments by the U.S. ambassador in Israel, Palestine Liberation Organization Chief Saeb Erekat said Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump's vision of Palestine was "annexation of occupied territory, a war crime according to international law."
