JAMAICA | Attorney demands release of Jamaicans illegally held in Florida

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica December 29, 2020 – Attorney-at-law Bert Samuels wants to find out when the Jamaican government will be demanding the release of four Jamaican citizens whose boat was blown-up by the US Coast Guard, arrested, tried and acquitted by the US courts, yet are still being illegally held by the US immigration.

JAMAICA | Why gov't granted waiver for US Coast Guard to detain Jamaican fishermen

JAMAICA | Chang to hold talks with US Embassy over Fishermen Affair

KINGSTON,  Jamaica, June 19, 2019 - As the developments unfold in the case of the five Jamaican fishermen who were detained, mistreated and jailed by the United States Coast Guard in 2017 on suspicion of drug smuggling, National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang is to meet with US Embassy officials next week, to get more information.
