PORT-OF-SPAIN January 8, 2021 - The government of  the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago says it will not be supporting  any motions brought forward by a 'purported representative' of Venezuela at the Organisation of American States (OAS), however it will continue to participate in all other matters.

Venezuela reiterates rejection of ICJ ruling on the Essequibo

Caracas, Dec 27 (Prensa Latina) Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza rejected Saturday the interpretation of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) of the 1966 Geneva Agreement regarding the unilateral lawsuit of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana against Venezuela.

CARICOM | Sanders flays OAS for allowing Guaidó attack on Trinidad and Tobago

MONTEGO BAY, December 19, 2020 - Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the United States and the Organisation of American States, Sir Ronald Sanders has described as “sordid” and “a presumptuous assault,” an attack on the Government of Trinidad and Tobago by a representative of Juan Guaidó at a meeting of the Organization of American States last Wednesday over the drowning death of 16 Venezuelan refugees at sea.

ICJ | World Court rules it can hear Guyana-Venezuela boundary case

THE HAGUE,  December 18, 2020 - The  International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Friday ruled that it has the authority to hear Guyana’s case on the validity of the 1899 Arbitral Tribunal Award that settled the land boundary with Venezuela.
