GUYANA | Oral arguments heard in election challenge, case 'premature' says GECOM

GUYANA | Jagdeo ready to meet Granger to appoint new GECOM Chairman

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, June 25, 2019 -  Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo has told President David Granger that he is ready for daily meetings to reach agreement on the appointment of a new Chairman of the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), following Monday’s resignation of James Patterson because the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) ruled that he was appointed unconstitutionally.
