GUYANA | Court Rules: Browne and Ramkissoon are illegal in the House

GEORGETOWN, April 20, 2021- The PPP’s Irfaan Ali/Jagdeo  administration was dealt a body blow today, when the Supreme Court ruled that two People’s Progressive Party (PPP) Parliamentary Secretaries are illegally sitting in the National Assembly as non-voting parliamentarians because they were elected candidates for a political party.

GUYANA | ExxonMobil cuts oil production by 90,000 barrels per day

GEORGETOWN,  Guyana, April, 14, 2021 - ExxonMobil, the American operator of the Liza Phase One well, has reduced oil production offshore Guyana by 90,000 barrels per day, putting output at a mere 30,000 barrels per day due to faulty equipment aboard by the Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, Liza Destiny.

GUYANA | Chief Justice to deliver decision in Election Petition 88 case on April 26

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, April 8, 2021 - Chief Justice (ag) Roxanne George says she will be handing down her decision on the 26th of April in relation to Election Petition No. 88, filed by coalition supporters Claudette Thorne and Heston Bostwick which challenges the validity of the National Recount Order by the Elections Commission and the declaration of the final results using that order.
