Jamaica improves its trade balance with CARICOM

KINGSTON, February 7, 2015 - While Jamaica’s Trade deficit with the United States showed need for improvement, Jamaica's trade balance with the rest of  the region improved over the first ten months of  last year as imports fell and exports increased.

Jamaica has so far issued 256 electricity Net Billing Licences

KINGSTON,  February 6, 2015 -  Minister of State in the Ministry of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, (MSTEM)  Julian Robinson, says there is strong take up of the net billing arrangement, with more than 250 licences issued to date.“We have over 256 net billing licences that have been issued for individuals, who are providing their own electricity and that is significant,” he says.

Jamaica need not panic about measles outbreak in USA - Davidson

KINGSTON, February 5, 2015 - Head of the School of Public Health & Health Technology at the University of Technology (UTECH) Dr Winston Davidson, says despite the outbreak of measles in neighbouring United States, Jamaica can be confident that the epidemic will have no significant effect on this country.
