TRINIDAD | Basdeo Panday turns 87, threatens to 'get back in politics'

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago, May 25, 2020 - Former Trinidad and Tobago prime minister Basdeo Panday turned 87 on Monday and promised guests at his birthday party that, not knowing what the government was doing with the economy, “I may have to intervene in the politics myself. I certainly cannot sit down quietly. I am ready and I am at a stage where I can handle anything.”

PORT OF SPAIN,  January 20, 2020 - The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, has given support to the position of CARICOM Chairman and Prime Ministrer of Barbados, Mia Amour Mottley, not to send a representative to a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Jamaica on Tuesday.
