GUYANA | Court of Appeal Decision Final says Dr. Francis Alexis

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, June 28, 2020 - Guyana Chronicle - GRENADIAN Queen Counsel, Dr. Francis Alexis – the Caribbean’s leading authority on constitutional law – said not only was the Court of Appeal right in ruling that Guyana’s President ought to be elected based on valid votes in accordance with the Constitution and Electoral Laws of the country, but there can be no challenge to that decision, even at the level of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ).

GEORGETOWN, Guyana May 5, 2020 - While leader of the ruling APNU+AFC coalition President David Granger has vowed to accept the result of the upcoming recount of voted in the March 2 general and regional elections, the opposition PPP is not in favour of GECOM “getting into too many details in the recount” such as reconciling the votes in the ballot box with the number of persons who voted are on the list.
