Health Minister heads to Cuba for Ebola preparedness help

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, Oct. 22, 2014 - In a further effort to bolster Jamaica's Ebola preparedness plans, Health Minister Dr. Fenton Ferguson will on Thursday head a delegation of health professionals and logistics personnel to Havana, Cuba where they will interface with that country's health ministry.

Havana Summit decides on regional action plan to fight Ebola

HAVANA, Cuba, Oct. 20, 2014 - The countries belonging to the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, or ALBA, on Monday agreed on an action plan to combat - and protect themselves from - Ebola at a special summit at which Cuba announced the deployment of two new medical brigades to Africa to fight the epidemic.
