CUBA | Cuba condemns terrorism and political manipulation

HAVANA, Cuba, June 1, 2020 – Cuba’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has rejected what it calls “the slanderous inclusion of Cuba in a US State Department list of countries which are allegedly not cooperating fully with US efforts against terrorism.”

VENEZUELA | Mercenary Operations Against Venezuela: An Evolution

TeleSUR, May 23, 2020 - Venezuela has recently been subject to a number of attempts of mercenary penetration in the country. According to research conducted by authorities of the Venezuelan National Government, several armed cells made up by mercenaries and Venezuelan and foreign former militaries have intended to gather in Venezuelan territory in order to organize and perpetrate1 terrorist actions, including attempts on the lives of State authorities and chavismo leaders and, in turn, coordinate sedition among the FANB (Spanish acronym for National Bolivarian Armed Force).

SURINAME goes to the polls on Monday May 25 to elect a new government

PARAMARIBO,  Suriname May 22, 2020 - The people of Suriname will go to the polls on May 25, 2020 to elect a new 51-seat parliament, which will then vote for the country’s president. The incumbent ruling party, the National Democratic Party (Nationale Democratische Partij or NDP) and its president, Desiré Delano “Desi” Bouterse is said to face a daunting re-election landscape.
