DIASPORA | Caribbean nationals urged to get counted in the United States Census

WASHINGTON DC, September 26, 2020 - Jamaica’s Ambassador to the United States, Audrey Marks has  called on Jamaican Americans, Jamaican Green card holders, as well as Caribbean Americans in the diaspora to participate in the 2020 Census as part the continued efforts to recognize the Caribbean diaspora as a productive and energized demographic within as the USA.

JAMAICA | PJ Patterson Pays Tribute to former B'dos PM, Owen Arthur

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, July 27, 2020 - With the passing of former Barbados prime minister Owen Arthur on Monday, tributes have been pouring in from many of the Caribbean region's leaders. These include Dr. Ralph Gonsalves who has referred to him as a titan of regional integration, Sir Shridath Ramphal who lamented that Barbados had lost a great son and Sir Ronald  Sanders who described Arthur as a Caribbean champion.

CARICOM | LIAT to be replaced by six airlines serving the Region

CARICOM,  July 4, 2020 - With the collapse of the ailing Regional airline, LIAT (1974) Ltd., despite herculean efforts by Antigua and Barbuda’s PM, Gaston Browne to save the carrier, six privately owned air carriers are being considered to take over LIAT’s travel routes, in wake of the carrier’s current financial challenge.

CARICOM | Gonsalves defends Mottley's position on Guyana
