Trinidad and Tobago stands with Barbados on US invitation

CARICOM Chair Concerned over Pompeo's Jamaica meeting

KINGSTON, January 20, 2020 - CARICOM Chairman and Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley says she will not be sending her foreign minister to meet with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Jamaica on a matter of principle.  She says the refusal to invite the entire CARICOM body to participate in tomorrow's multilateral round table discussion seems to be an attempt to divide and rule.

DOMINICA | Linton refuses to recognise new Skerrit Gov’t; Wants supporters to “rise up”.

ROSEAU, Dominica, December 8, 2019 - Despite unanimous satisfaction by international observer groups regarding to conduct of the recently held Dominica general elections, Leader of Dominica’s opposition United Workers Party (UWP), Lennox Linton says he will not recognise the new Roosevelt Skerrit government because last Friday’s general elections were rigged and as a result he is demanding fresh elections.
