CAYMAN | Gov't very cautious about re-opening its borders to visitors

GRAND CAYMAN,  August 15, 2020 - The government of the Cayman Islands is learning from the experience of its neighbours and is playing it safe by taking its time to ensure the island’s post COVID-19 reopening plan is “as close to perfect as possible.” This is the word from tourism director Rosa Harris as she spoke during a panel discussion at the Chamber of Commerce’s Cayman Economic Outlook conference on Friday.

CAYMAN grants amnesty to overstayers

CAYMAN, April 24, 2020 - Overseas workers and foreigners who may have overstayed their time in the Cayman Islands as a result of the COVID-019 pandemic have been given an reprieve by the government with the granting of an amnesty protecting overstayers from prosecution with immediate effect, according to a Customs and Border Control (CBC) statement Thursday.
