KINGSTON, Jamaica, November 10, 2019: People’s National Party’s (PNP) Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ms. Lisa Hanna, says despite pleas from the North East Diaspora for a review of the new Global Jamaica Diaspora Council (GJDC), the governmernt's is continuing its arrogant disregard towards the Jamaican Diaspora as it steamrolls its partisan agenda with the establishment of the new Global Jamaica Diaspora Council (GJDC).

DIASPORA | Jamaicans in North East USA want accountability in election of Diaspora Council

New York, November 9, 2019 – As Jamaica’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs gets ready to conduct elections to choose worldwide representatives for its controversial Global Jamaica Diaspora Council, Diaspora leaders in the US northeast region wants the government to ensure that elected members of the Council are representatives of their communities and not solely advisors to the Foreign Ministry.

DIASPORA | J'cans in North East US want Global Diaspora Council Elections Postponed

New York, November 6, 2019 - Jamaicans residing in the Northeast Region of the United States are up in arms over the government's proposed new organization to represent members of the diaspora, "Global Jamaica Diaspora Council," and the manner in which it proposes to have persons elected to its Board, without consultation, beginning the 21st of November.
