JAMAICA | Jamaica Bar Association raps Attorney General for loose comments

THE Jamaican Bar Association (JBA) has rapped Attorney General Marlene Malahoo-Forte on the knuckles, for comments she made about Wednesday's ruling of a Supreme Court judge that the detention of five men under the ongoing states of emergency (SOE) is unconstitutional, and urged her to make a retraction.

TT | Trinidad moves to decriminalize ganja, promote medicinal cannabis

PORT OF SPAIN, November 23, 2019 - Trinidad and Tobago has no intention to be left behind while other CARICOM countries move towards decriminalization of ganja, and to capitalize on the growing medicinal cannabis industry within the region. To this end, Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi on Friday presented two bills in parliament: an amendment to the Dangerous Drugs Act and a Cannabis Control Authority Bill.
