President Miguel Diaz-Canel noted on Saturday that despite the hostility from the government of the United States and its interfering stances to stop Cuba''s development, the island bets on strengthening its ties with other countries.
In a message on Twitter, Diaz-Canel said that during the 39th International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2019), opposition to Washington's sanctions on Cuba which tighten the blockade imposed nearly 60 years ago was confirmed.
In FITCuba 2019, it was confirmed that many oppose the sanctions, measures and aggressive policies by the US government against Cuba which tighten the blockade. The empire is isolating itself, in Cuba we continue to open to the world, the president wrote on his Twitter account @DiazCanelB.

The event, which opened a week ago, was attended by tour operators and travel agents from all over the world, among other personalities.
Havana as a center, on the occasion of its 500th anniversary on November 16, was an appropriate setting for the meeting, which focused on congresses, events and incentives, with Spain as the guest of honor.
Delegates from all over the world visited not only the stands at the Morro-Cabaña military-historic complex, the venue of the fair, but also traveled to other places such as the western province of Pinar del Rio and Varadero beach.
Talks, negotiations and other contacts enhanced the travel industry in Cuba with the aim of setting a record in 2019 of five million foreign holidaymakers.
Russia will be the guest country at the International Tourism Fair of Cuba, FITCuba 2020, which will take place in May next year.
