En GEORGETOWN, GUYANA, August 25, 2023 - Guyana’s president Irfaan Ali has welcomed the apology from the heirs of the enslaver John Gladstone, who have travelled to Guyana to make an apology on behalf of their family for the atrocities of slavery and indentureship carried out by Gladstone at the University of Guyana.
