PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad and Tobago, October 16, 2021 - As of the first of November, bars, restaurants, casinos and cinemas in Trinidad and Tobago will be allowed to operate at full capacity and offer full service to vaccinated persons ONLY.
This is the word from Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley who also announced that religious bodies can now hold services up to 90 minutes long. However, capacity remains the same at 25%.
Public indoor events at venues like Queen’s Hall, NAPA and SAPA will be at 50% capacity while public gatherings will shortly be increased from 5 to 10 persons, but patrons must wear masks and observe all Public Health Protocols.

While vaccinated persons can now attend horse racing in the stands, Rowley said Trinidad and Tobago is not where it should be in order to reopen beaches or resume team sports.
Public servants will return to work “in an organised way” fromthe first of November, with most workers back out to work by mid to the end of the month.
The Prime Minister said the Government has not made it mandatory for public servants to be vaccinated for COVID-19. However, the Government will continue to have supplies of COVID-19 vaccines available to the population and top priority will be given to children.
Rowlet pointed out that his government was working on an E-vaccination proof for phones, but noted that COVID-19 Vaccination bracelets were NOT authorised by the Ministry of Health. And at the same time urged people not to falsify their COVID-19 vaccination status as the penalties are very severe.
The Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister had a word for persons claiming discrimination in relation to whether or not to get vaccinated. He said they cannot speak about discrimination if they have a choice – to get vaccinated or not.
